Team USA ran up its third win in four games with another impressive performance this time over Bermuda. Asked to take first strike, Bermuda lost an early wicket but a 76-run second wicket partnership between Outerbridge and Edness might have given Team USA reason to rethink its decision to insert Bermuda. But when Steve Massiah removed Outerbridge for 48, and Muhammad Ghous sent back Edness for 26, USA began to turn the screws on Bermuda. Massiah bowled 10 overs for a miserly 33 runs picking up two wickets. Lennox Cush, riding on his impressive Man of the Match performance in the previous game, snared four for 30 in his 10 over spell. Only Romaine (34) offered some resistance as wickets fell at regular intervals with Bermuda finishing at 188 for 9 in their allotted 50 overs.
Chasing 190 for victory USA lost Carl Wright for 11, but a determined 111-run partnership between Sushil Nadkarni and Massiah put Team USA on course for another convincing victory. Nadkarni registered his second consecutive fifty - 57 from 96 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes, and was the second wicket to fall at 141. Massiah got his first fifty of the tournament - 67 from 103 with 7 fours and one six; and with figures of 2 for 33 easily won the Man of the Match. Cush (22) and Marshall (17) remained undefeated when USA wrapped up victory by 6 wickets.
This was yet another solid all round performance by Team USA to get past Bermuda who until today had gone undefeated in three games and were tied first with Canada in the standings.
USA's next opponent is the Cayman Islands who have one win and three losses.
