The State of United States of America Cricket
Dainty is the president of USACA and he does whatever he wants to do. I know for certain that Pauline is on the national team because the PRESIDENT of USACA said so. Just as when the PRESIDENT of USACA suspended Linden for two years. Just as when the PRESIDENT decided who would sit on Cricket Holdings USA's board. Just as when the PRESIDENT hired and fired Don Lockerbie. Just as when the PRESIDENT cancels BOD meetings. So absolutely, if the PRESIDENT says Pauline in on the National team..SHE IS ON THE NATIONAL TEAM!
Its amazing that so many people are trying so hard to keep one HIGHLY qualified woman from playing cricket. When so little people are pushing their players in front of Sew and the other selec tors ahead of the National Tournament, where it is supposed to be decided. At this point the other women in America better solicit a letter from Dainty to get on the team also.

As some of you are probably aware, the current President, Gladstone Dainty, and his group were elected on June 4, 2003 (8 years & 15 days ago). Since that time, this same group of desperate men with few NEW faces has continuously abused and misused their powers to suit their own private agendas.
I remember over the years majority of the leagues in this country unanimously resolved that they had no confidence in the leadership of Mr. Dainty and his group. It is shameful that Mr. Dainty has decided to hang on to power through unconstitutional ways, legal maneuvering and intimidation tactics.

Well what you expect? Is this anything new? Same people same stories and same shanigans happening over and over again. Only people who can change this are the League Presidents and their regional reps. But again this gang plays the same games at regional levels. Just give out some carrots to leagues and regions and you can buy your votes. Look at the regional elections in West Coast and you will know how things are manipulated. I thought that by bringing in outside people in LLC it will be better, but when you know the inside stories you know why Ram Vardarajan and Dr. Asif Ahmed are included with Dainty and John Thickett.
I will ask the question to Mr. Thickett and Mr. Vardhrajan- How can you believe people like Da inty, Masood,Charlie and Glassgow and join hands in doing the things behind the back doors? Mr. Thickett I have lot of respect for you but I do not understand how can you do the things in such a manner in putting these people on the LLC board? I hope you have answers for this.I do not have anything to say about Dainty, Masood, Charlie and Glassgow as I know very well how they operate and how much they care about Cricket in USA. Its time for all regions and all the League President to wake up and stop these people from destroying the cricket in USA. Time is now to have your voice heard at the regional elections and upcoming election for the USACA Board. league Presidents are the one who can bring the change. If you do not do anything now then it will be too late and things will keep on happening the same way as usual. Its time to recall all those members to LLC Board wait until the new USACA Board is elected in October-November this year. What is the rush? Can they publish the details of the Contract between USACA and new LLC partners?

I am just trying to state some facts for those who have any interest in development of cricket in this country. Yes, I am the bad guy for speaking out. So be it!
What exactly is the purpose of sending this ballot out? Is there really a reason why this joke of an election is being conducted? The drama sure qualifies for some sort of cheap Hollywood story.
- First an election is held in the region which is rigged and regional board is formed
- Next it was time to vote on the Regional Rep position. As per original ballot, Ram V and Fauad H were in the ballot for that. Rohan's name was mysteriously missing from the ballot
- Next Ram V pulls out of the Regional Rep race in exchange for an entry into the newly formed LLC which will run a "supposed" T20 league in this country
- The pull out of Ram V due to his move into the LLC left only one person running for NWR Regional Rep position. Technically, that person (Fauad) should have been declared winner without contest.
- But wait, someone realized that Fauad is not our puppet. If he becomes a USACA Board member, he might challenge the selection of people into the newly formed LLC Board
- So we need to bend the rules and call for fresh election to bring one of our own dummies into the USACA Board
- Who better fits into that position than the president of Buch's CCA (Athavale)? His name was not there in the original nomination.
So yes, this election is nothing but a joke. I say it exactly as it is. Ajay, congrats in advance. Not sure why USACA is wasting time in conducting this election. They know Buch has rigged enough votes in your favor and declare you the winner.
And the leagues/clubs/players across this country are expecting professional cricket to come to this country? To make that happen, the actions of the organization needs to be more professional first.
Too many games are being played and all the cricket stake holders of this country are just being fooled by a selected few.
Each and every league should start asking questions to USACA. How much money have they sent to USACA over the years and what USACA has done for them in return for the "DEVELOPMENT" of grass root cricket which is what leagues are doing?

Raj
Nabeel, it is heatening to see that you have finally said something concerning the USACA's delinquency with reagrds to holding elections. I have been "flogging" this topic for nearly two months now. I have gone through detailing their respensibility with respect to holding elections. I have even written to Martin Vieira pointing out that USACA's inconsistency. Viera and myself exchanged communications. Vieira's response is that USACA has a "grace period" - until November - to hold elections.
With several articles appearing on ONDriveUpdate it is disappointing to me that you did not get on the bandwagon and speak up of the USACA wrongdoing, seeing that you had already announced your decision to seek the presidency of USACA. Cricket fans would have been happy to hear what you had to sy. But we are glad that you finally came out and tell us how you feel.
I would encourage that you keep on informing the public of what you know about how the USACA Board does things ( afterall you were once an insider). Alsao, I think that it is time that you start telling the public how you intend to make changes in USACA. Tell us about your program.

Dear Dr Samaroo,
I have been getting numerous calls from different regions telling me there is an attempt to make inactive leagues active by extending the time to pay 2010 dues. It is unfortunate situation and I hope before leagues are allowed to vote in the upcoming election they should go thru investigation to make sure that all the leagues who are allowed to vote are legible and active. I suggest this investigation should be done by third party.
There are leagues who are not allowed to regain full membership when they are running full cricket schedule and lots of other cricket activities for example Michigan Cricket Association. I recommend and encourage USACA board to allow them full membership status without any delay.
I encourage the USACA board and request to the board to make sure that only legible leagues are allowed to vote in upcoming elections.
I am hoping things will change and I know that some members of USACA board have taken firm stand on some important issues. That is very encouraging development.
Nabeel Ahmed
Hello Mr. Samaroo
Thanks for educating the public on issues regarding USACA. It is ashame an interview with Don Lockerbie can;t be done. I would love to hear what he has to say now.
Sincerely
Reggie Benjamin
Having read all the attacks towards USACA, not many are really aware how difficult it is to administer cricket in the world today. Here are a few things to ponder:
1. USACA is not the only board struggling to gain credible footing in world cricket, and that goes for both associate / international teams. In fact if you’re running cricket matters and it’s in India, you’re spared at least for now. Every other cricketing board across the globe are facing monumental challenges. USACA IS NO EXCEPTION!
2. Under USACA’s watch we been able to take the level of US cricket and participation to a higher state than it was , let’s say 15 years ago. We’ve been involved in many associatet ournaments both at the senior / junior stage. In fact the US under our watch has played 2 ODI. We’ve competed with the best at our level and apart from Afghanistan & Ireland, we can give a very account of ourselves. Ask the Canadians, the Bermudians, the Italians and
you’ll get the sense that US cricket has commanded a great deal of respect. You don’t hear that from the ‘NY writers’.
3. Funds have always been the issues around the globe, you guys quoting figures don’t know the whole story, and we reserve the right to share inside information, especially on financial matters to so- called writers. Nationally for arguments sake, how much administering can $600.000 do today.
4. How come you never had the guts to complain and expose the various league presidents for voting in Dainty and company over and over again, starting with your president who has given his league support repeatedly to Dainty. So start at home please.
5. My friends, the ICC has been pleased so far w

The election term ended on November 30, 2010 and not in March 2011.

The questions regarding the financial arrangements from this gig with the Kiwis is a concern. Has the USACA
actually received any money yet? If so, I believe this has to legally be reported as a 501 entity which the
USACA is. If they don't could be criminal behavior

What is the correct story behind USA, LLC? Is the contract approved? Aaron and Krish opted out of the USACA board meetings. Who are the other two? Who all Dainty is trying to push for USA LLC besides him and Thickett? Is it ethical to be on USACA board and USA,LLC both?
Jerry, Dallas
Mr. Nabeel I congratulate you sir for speaking out on the matter. You refuse to play the politics of corruption unlike some of your colleagues
Rajendra, NJ
Sham while USACA looking to rig another election our neighbor to the north just beat Kenya semifinalist in 2003. Canada make a record for the youngest player ever in world cup. USA got the record for senior citizen in division 4 or 5 or bottom house or wherever US is now.
Mahendra
ok the term of office expires at the end of the month so what? Big deal. Who will make them leave office? No one has the testicular fortitude to stand up to this man and he knows it.
Mahendra
Right idea. League presidents have the biggest stake in US cricket. But this is a sin and a curse because The biggest problem is logistics because of the sheer size of USA. The presidents are from all over so the dialogue is not possible. This is the problem that hamper US cricket from start and I dont see any solution
Andy
Dr. Samaroo the real problem with US cricket is not dainty but all the dogooders he got in his pocket.
Bilal
I hope you are right, however crooks have no moral. They have once disqualified people who actually won elections.

I have read your article and suggestion to the league presidents. I still think in the best interest of USA cricket USACA should hold the elections before The
expiry of the term. It does not make any sense to take the board into extension when constitution does not allow it.
If USACA is postponing the elections then explanation is needed from them instead of silence. Somebody from USACA has to come out and explain if
constitution allows them to extend the term from three years. As a stake holder of USA cricket I do not want to see action from ICC on this,
it can be devastating for USA cricket. I request and suggest to USACA to take action and control the situation ASAP.
Nabeel Ahmed
Mr. Dainty, do the right thing. Step aside for a bigger cause than you US cricket

I always post using my name Ramesh. This is the best thing that can happen to US cricket. Lets wipe the slate clean and start fresh.

I believe the information posted in this article to be accurate…. With specificity, the North East Region has recently received $3125.00 from the ICC Development fund. In lieu of receiving this money, the region was asked to submit a report. My understanding is that this request was made to all regions in the United States and failure to comply would have resulted in the funds being returned to the ICC. It is also unclear to me if some regions received more than others or if the monies was equally distributed. We are still awaiting funds (approx. $2000.00) from USACA as part of our participation in national tournaments during 2010, but given the current climate in the organization, it maybe some time before these resources are realized. I encourage all League Presidents make sure they know what is going on in their own region as we move forward.
