Dave Mohamed blasts United Sports Club to Nassau League T20 Title

In the T20 final played Sunday, October 02, 2011, West Indian Alliance won the toss and asked United Sports Club to take first strike. United Sports Club scored 185 runs for the loss of three (3) wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Former Trinidad national player, David Mohamed,  blast United Sports Club to the Nassau Cricket League 2011 T20 Title. David Mohamed, stole the show with a swashbuckling 90 runs not out. His inning includes 7 huge 6's and 7 x 4's.

West Indian Alliance conceded 51 runs in the final 2 overs due to some superb hitting by Dave Mohamed.

National USA senior captain, Steve Massiah, gave United Sports a brisk start, scoring 43 runs out of the 57 runs scored in the first 6 overs of the inning.

Bowling for WI Alliance Sunil, St. Jean and Chris picked up 1 wicket each.

West Indian Alliance, in reply, scored 118 all out in 18.2 overs. K. Persaud 43 runs, R. Toussaint 23 runs and S. Ractoo 17 runs were the main contributors for West Indian Alliance. Bowling for United Sports Club, Glen Lorick and B. Ramkelawan took 2 wickets each. Sewdat, Sunil and Ram Singh picked up 1 wicket each.
Result: United Sports Club defeated West Indian Alliance by 67 runs.

Mohamed and Massiah were dominant throughout the Nassau Cricket League T20 Tournament with some sensational batting display.

In the four (4) matches played, David Mohamed scored 69 runs against Hempstead, 48 runs against West Indian Alliance, 47 runs against Breakaway and 90 runs not out against West Indian Alliance in the final --- averaging 84.67 in the tournament. While Steve Massiah scored 50 runs against Hempstead, 53 runs against West Indian Alliance, 87 runs not out against Breakaway and 43 runs against West Indian Alliance in the final -- averaging 77.67 in the tournament.

Nassau Cricket League and USA Cricket Captain, Steve Massiah, is letting his bat do the talking in the early goings of the 2011 cricket season. To date, Massiah has been putting some good numbers in the few innings he has batted.

May 21, 2011, Massiah scored 54 runs, Nassau League vs. Eastern American Cricket Assoc., NYCR T20.
May 28, 2011, Massiah scored 102 runs not out, Nassau League vs. New York Region U25, NYCR T20.
June 4, 2011, Massiah 57 runs not out and 3 wkts for 13 runs, United Sports Club vs. Pure Players, Nassau Cricket League. Massiah, who will be thirty-two years old in a week, is looking as youthful as ever and certainly has a few good years ahead of him with his cricketing career.
This Saturday, June 11, 2011, Massiah will be showcasing his talent in the New York Regional T20 Trials at Roy Wilkins Park, Queens, New York.
Then on Sunday, June 12, 2011, Massiah will be showcasing his talent in the Nassau Cricket League regular season competition at Beach 58th. St., Edgemere, Far Rockaway - United Sports Club vs. Vikings Cricket Club.

batted first and scored 86 runs. K. Mahabir 17 runs. Bowling for Vikings,  I. Ali 5-2-5-5.
Vikings, in reply,  89 runs for 2 wickets. M. Kanhai 24 runs not out.
Vikings Won.

June 5th, 2011 Pure Players and United Sports:
Pure Players elected to bat first scoring 80 runs in 23.5 overs. H. Khan 28 and V. Raichandra 12 runs. Bowling for United Sports, Sunil Singh 6-0-25-5 wkts. Steve Massiah 5.5-1-13-3 wkts. and G.Ramsingh 6-0-25-2 wkts.
United Sports in reply knocked off the required runs in 10 Overs for the loss of 1 wkt. Steve Massiah 57 Not Out (8x4's & 1x6) and H.Hardeo 14 Not Out. Bowling for Pure Player, Shafi claimed the lone wkt. that fell. Match won by United Sports by 9 wkts.

 
June 5th, 2011, Hempstead vs. Camelot:
Hempstead CC
batted first and scored 259 runs for loss 7 in 35 overs. The primary contributors were: Andy Harricharran 93,  Gerald Singh 51 and Wayne Cox 25 not out. Bowling for Camelot CC: Toons 4 wkts. for 21runs , Narine and Rohan 2wkts each for 31, and 34 runs respectively.
Camelot CC, in reply, 65 allout. Hempstead Won.
June 5th, 2011, Vikings vs. Breakaway:
Vikings batted first and scored 125 allout in 23 overs. Bowling for Breakaway, Yusuf 4 wkts for 19 runs and Roopnarine 3 wkts for 24 runs.
Breakaway, in reply, scored 127 runs for 5 wkts in 17 overs. Stafford 13, Narine 25, Yusuf 24, Roopnarine 22 not out. Breakaway won by 5 wickets.
June 5th, 2011, WI Alliance vs. Ramdeen Sports.
WI Alliance won the toss and Batted first, scoring 272 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 35 overs. Kawal Persaud 98 runs,  Errol Charles 36 runs, Ray Prosper 35 runs and Timothy Jervier 32 runs. Bowling for Ramdeen Sports, Ramdeen 2 wickets, Kendel 2 wickets and Sookoo 1 wicket.
Ramdeen Sports, in reply, were batting 152 without loss in 20th over, however, they were restricted to
246 runs for 9 wickets in 35 overs. S Choonoo 73 runs, F. Hosein 86 runs and R. Kendel 48 runs. Bowling for WI Alliance, Mark took 4 wkts for 38 runs in 7 overs, Conrad Carbon took 1 wkt and A. St. Jean took 1 wkt.
West Indian Alliance won.

May 22, 2011, United Sports and Hempstead:
Hempstead took 1st strike and scored 144 runs all out in 28.5 overs. P. Dasilva 35, J. Lall 24 and W. Cox 20. Bowling for United Sports - Sewdat 4-0-20-4 wkts. Sunil Singh 6-0-26-3 wkts.
United Sports in reply made 148 runs for 4 wkts off of 27 Overs. Bowling for Hempstead P. DaSilva, A. Singh, Angel and W. Cox claimed 1 wk. each. Match won by United Sports by 6 wkts.
